Hop-A-Thon
Monday, 12 April 2010 16:17

Dear Parents,

This Sunday I will be announcing to the children about the Hop-A-Thon.  As you know, the older group in the Children's Department goes by the name KIA which stands for Kids-in-Actions and by participating in the Hop-a-Thon the children get to live out that name.  The money we raise from the Hop-A-Thon will be used to run our first Kid's camp this August and to sponsor a surgery for a child through the Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministry this summer.  Any left over amount will be forwarded to the Children's Deparment fund for weekly activities and materials.

I'm attaching the flyer for you for more information but please ask me at church or email me if you have any further questions.  I also attach the consent form so you can print it out and give it back to me this Sunday if you allow your child(ren) to participate.  The Sponsor sheet is for you to look at to have some idea what it entails.  All children from Pre-K to 6th grade may participate.  The actual hopping is on Saturday, May 1st but the fundraising starts this Sunday and will go until July 11th.  That's when we'll collect all the money.  This is our first year doing this so we're learing as we go along.

Thank you again for all your help and support in the past.  Having your child(ren) participate in these activities brings great encouragement to me and the Staff.  Please continue to keep us in your prayer as we're living out the call.

Blessings,
Kally, on behalf of the Children's Ministry Staff
